There are multiple ways to find out where your WestHost account is located.
cPanel Lookup is the best way to look up your account's location. If you log in to cPanel and select the "expand stats" option from underneath the Stats box on the left-hand side, it will present several details about your account.
Find the "Server Name" entry in this list and you will see your server listed as something like "sl-507-##" with ## being the number of your server. You can also view the article How To See My Server Name
SSH Lookup is the final method for you to find out what server your account is hosted on. Bring up a command line client like Command Prompt in Windows or Terminal on a Mac. Type in "telnet yourdomain.com 25" without the quotes and replacing yourdomain.com with your actual domain name.
So long as it successfully connects from your location, you will see a line that looks like this:
220-sl-507-##.slc.westdc.net ESMTP Exim 4.69 #1 Thu, 29 Dec 2011 17:37:27 -0700
This sl-507-## is the number of the server where your account is located. You can close the window to disconnect the lookup request.
Some versions of Windows do not have the Telnet client enabled by default. You can activate it by going to your Start orb >> Control Panel >> Programs and Features >> Turn Windows Features On or Off. Then check the "Telnet Client" option and click OK to enable it.
