How To Edit Web Server Settings In Site Manager


Additional system settings of your Apache Web server can be edited here, including defining paths for access and error log files. Turning Apache Watchdog monitoring on will help keep your Web server running.

Apache Settings

To change the file locations for your log files and your webmaster's e-mail address:

  1. Click the Change Settings button from the Apache Settings box in the Web Server section (Figure 1).
  2. Enter the new file location for your error log in the Error log file field (Figure 2).
  3. Enter the new file location for your access log in the Access log file field (Figure 2).
  4. Enter the new webmaster e-mail address in the Webmaster's e-mail field (Figure 2).
  5. You can also decide to enable or disable quota alerts for your account by checking the box (  ) next to Enable quota alerts (Figure 2).
  6. Click the Finish button to save your changes.

Apache Watchdog

To enable/disable Apache Watchdog:

  1. If Apache Watchdog is turned on, click the Turn Off Monitoring button from the Apache Watchdog box in the Web Server section to turn it off (Figure 3).
  2. If Apache Watchdog is turned off, click the Turn On Monitoring button from the Apache Watchdog box in the Web Server section to turn it on (Figure 3).
