How To Backup A MySQL Database


This article is for cPanel Accounts. Determine where your account is with this guide.

There are two ways to go about backing up your MySQL databases.

  1. Use the backup utility in the control panel.
  2. Manually backup using phpMyAdmin. To do this, follow the steps below.

Login to your control panel http://yourdomain.com/cpanel
Click on the phpMyAdmin icon.
Click the Export tab.
Click Select All to choose all your databases.
Hit the Go button at the bottom right.
Choose the location to save to and click Save. Your databases have now been exported.
